Yoga

Focused on creating a renewed sense of energy and vitality, Naomi combines yoga with holistic health practices to address modern-life ailments that she has experienced in her own life — like stress, burnout, painful joints and spinal stiffness.

As a Project Manager in the advent of the dot com boom, Naomi discovered the therapeutic benefits of yoga at the Sivanada Yoga Vedanta Centre in Toronto.  In 2004, she received her 200 Hour Teacher Training certificate at Yoga Space and 2006 marked the first of two visits to India to study Ashtanga, Pranayama and Philosophy with Masters in Mysore and Dharamshala.

Since then she has continued to study with an array of instructors from across Canada and the United States.  Naomi was also the founder and co-founder of two successful Terrace-based Yoga Studios; Treehouse Yoga and Wild Lotus Studio.  In the years that she was involved with these businesses, she learned many lessons – some the hard way and connected with many wonderful people.

Today she continues to practice and loves to share her experience and knowledge with others.

So What's A Wrangler Anyways?

Long story short, a Wrangler is the head of the livery stable and the person responsible for the wellbeing of the horses.  They are the first to get up in the morning and the last to hit the hay at night and in between they keep camp stocked and running, assist the Guides and Cook, and do their best to provide a safe and positive experience for the guests.

Filmed over four years in three different Guide Territories plus one personal pack trip, this 6 minute short film is a compilation of scenic and special moments captured along the trail.  Saddle up and come along for the ride as we travel through the Northern Rockies, the Kawdy Plateau and Spatisizi Provincial Park.  One thing is for sure, spending months at a time in the wilderness of Northern BC with a crew of colourful characters and a herd of horses will change your life.

“Tell me, what is it you plan

to do with your one wild and precious life?”
